My perspective on coaching

Often, people, teams and organizations are capable of much more than they realize. A good coach is a catalyst for revealing this potential. In my experience, the most effective coaches possess 1) expertise in coaching, 2) intelligence, 3) sensitivity, and 4) a rich life and work experience.

Because coaching often involves sensitive and significant topics, I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and expertise. To ensure that, I prioritize my own learning and development and regularly seek out coaching for myself. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients, including (young) professionals, leaders, (leadership) teams and organizations.

My background includes a wide range of training and education in coaching, psychology and leadership: I am a graduate from the School for Coaching and hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Psychology, with a focus on leadership. My coaching work is grounded in the teachings and philosophy of the Integral Coaching Canada institute, where I earned my certification as an Integral Coach™. Furthermore, I followed training programs in the field of team coaching, systemic transition management and "deep democracy". I am also certified as a Leadership Circle Profile Coach® and a group facilitator. Additionally, I have deepened my knowledge of systemic coaching and (family) constellations through the Academy for Psychodynamics.

Coaching for individuals

Our initial response to life's challenges is mostly to look for external solutions first. We read self-help books, seek advice from friends, or make changes to our environment hoping to find relief from our struggles. But sometimes, no matter how hard we try, the same negative patterns and emotions persist. This can be frustrating and disheartening, but it's important to recognize that these patterns are rooted deeply and cannot be resolved by modifying external factors alone. They're often the result of long-held beliefs, experiences, and emotions that have accumulated over time.

True change and lasting results require internal transformation.

My coaching programs are based on the Integral Coaching® approach, which is a comprehensive approach to coaching developed by Integral Coaching Canada (ICC). As one of the world's leading coaching institutes, ICC has a deep understanding of human development and the unique challenges that individuals face in their personal and professional lives. This approach is grounded in the idea that people are complex and multi-dimensional beings, and therefore require an integrative approach to coaching. At the heart of the ICC approach is the idea of 'cycles of development'. Each cycle of development is focused on a particular aspect of the individual's personal growth. Through these cycles, individuals are able to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique challenges, and to develop the abilities they need to overcome these challenges and create lasting change in their lives.
